Third Annual Springfield Area Christmas Dinner Party

December 17, 2006

"Just how does Santa hide our geocaching gifts here in Springfield?" I am glad you asked! The way this event is done, everyone who participates will need to bring a gift that is suitable for either a man or a woman. If you have children who would like to participate, they will need to bring a gift suitable for a child. Gifts should be valued at approximately $10. What you need to do is figure out a place to hide your gift in the Springfield area. Please do this before meeting at the designated exchange point. Parks, walking trails or private land, with permission are good places. The boundaries are as follows: I-44 to the north, Highway 65 to the east, James River Freeway to the south and Scenic Ave. to the west. Try to stay inside these roads. If you do go outside these roads A BIT it's alright. I would suggest making your hiding spot no greater than a "2" in difficulty as you do want the participants to find your gift. We'll have forms printed out so you can write down the coordinates, your name and a brief description of your gift's location. We will meet at 2:30 p.m. on December 17, 2006 at these coordinates to draw and exchange coordinates. N 37 13.092 W 093 19.079. You will then have two and a half hours to locate your gifts and meet for dinner and visiting from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Golden Corral at these coordinates- N 37 14.828 W 093 18.632. The cost will be $9.09 + tax and a 15% gratuity is expected. We hope to see familiar faces as well as new ones.
