The main cache has been relocated to the new viewing and informaton platform erected by the mine owners Anglo Coal.
At the above coordinates there is a micro cache that contains the coordinates to the main cache. The final cache is accessible by conventional vehicle, though some sections of the road are gravel. Both sites have shelter sheds and toilets.
Don't forget your binoculars.
The main cache is Eclipse Mint Container container (Thanks to 5MeerKats for replacing the muggled cache before i took ownership) containing log book and an assortment of goodies.
On this journey you will see;
(a) Where 1600 megawatts of electrical power is generated for the Queensland Power Grid.
(b) Lake Callide that supplies water for power generation and is well stocked with barramundi.
(c) If you are lucky some mining equipment in operation. There may be a Marion 8750 Dragline with its 92m3 bucket, or a P&H electric shovel that loads 276tonne rear dump trucks with its 53tonne bucket.
