Geocache Description:

Permit # 0304. Located on an ATV trail just off Forest Road 1805. This is a nice trail with a short walk. Or depending on how you feel about your vehicle you can drive within 10 feet. I recommend a short walk.

In the late 1800's Turkey in the Straw was a popular country folk song. In the 1920's the Turkey Trot was the resque' dance of the day. In the Ozark National Forest when we talk turkey we aren't talking dancin' or singin'. We are talking about the real thing...big wild birds. If you have never seen a flock of wild turkeys roaming free in the woods you have missed a sight. The gate you pass as you walk down the road, closes in the spring for the protection of these nesting birds.

If you walk on down to a sharp curve in the road, find a comfortable rock near a large tree and sit real quiet, you might be lucky enough to see a gang of these big fowls trot passed. While you're there grab the cache, sign the and go.

Please be sure to put everything back the way you found it. Make the challenge the same for the next cacher.
