Thornton Research Park #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

momentforus: Thanks to chrisiris for letting me know that the cache is destroyed. When I started this cache, it was out in the middle of nowhere. But, alas, the population is growing. I suspect that the lawnmowers are to blame for its demise. I had replaced it a few months ago, but will archive it now.

Geocache Description:

In the heart of Thornton Research Park. You're looking for a bison tube: log only, so bring your own pen.

I always thought it was Cummings Research Park, but there it is on the sign at N34 42.786 W86 41.519. Turns out that UAH (University of Alabama in Huntsville) owns this parcel of land, and named it after Mr. Thornton.

Anyway, they're building like crazy in here, with a lot of companies already in operation.

I jog by here once or twice a week, and thought it would be a nice place for a second cache. You can park within a few feet of the cache, and you'll be in a three lane road that isn't used very much.

Congrats to TestRocket for FTF!
