Cache is an easy hike .9 miles in from parking, in Shutesbury. Park across from 325 Montague Rd Shutesbury, in the left side of entrance, so you don't block the trail. Pls respect this private land, which is open to hiking, biking, XC Skiing & snowmobiling. Please carry out what you carry in, and any trash you see which was dropped by others.
Humorous trinkets in cache are unused 1994 Shutesbury dog tags. This does not mean the cache is endorsed by the town. Please don't abuse them.
The cache name refers to the optional hike of 1.1 miles past the cache, which brings you to the "peak" of Brushy Mountain in Leverett. The optional leg is more rugged, and a higher difficulty & terrain rating.
The "peak" is on maps as N42.28.493 W72.27.390, but is a brushy, swampy dell, south of the trail you would walk to reach it.
