Robbie is the fond nickname given by the locals for this little town which is the last town you pass through heading north to the majestic Burra Creek Gorge, a renowned natural beauty spot. Because of the town's unique location, being remote but not too far from the big smoke, it provides the starting point for a round of the SA Rally Championships and the 2 day Roberstown Motorcycle trial each year. Check (visit link) Try and pass through here during business hours, there is a local general store which is well worth a visit - it's a time warp - lovely!!
