PLEASE BE WARE OF HIGH WATER LEVELS IN FLOOD PLAIN IN WARMER
DAYS
Welcome to what has been my private dog walking park for the
last 10 years. The cache is located in a remote, little used forest
along Tannery Creek in Newmarket. There is a small logbook in a
water proof container at the base of Christmas Tree.
There are no trading items in this cache. However, there is a
decorated Christmas tree at the cache location. Please do not trade
the ornaments. If you want, we ask that when you log the cache you
place a small ornament on the tree. Please note: this is a publicy
accessible area. So please do not use any special or valuable
ornaments. Creativity is the key here. Hang a string on MacDonald's
toy, or a small ball. The true beauty of the tree will be the
spirit that all cachers will bring.
Your best spot to park is probably at the public lot located
along Cane Parkway just past William Roe Blvd. about 250 m north.
Parking is also available at the Town of Newmarket offices, located
on the north side of Mullock Street, just west of Cane Parkway. The
cache is located on the south side of the street. Please cross at
the lights at Cane Parkway and Mullock. It will be about a 400 m
hike. The trail is wet, so rubber boots are recommended.
Please have fun and Merry Christmas
