4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache
The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.
If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This cache is the Silver Snitch's first ever and it celebrates the achievement of 4 people fulfilling a dream!
In the late 1990s a young mum wished One Tree Hill had a playground. There was literally nowhere to take her toddler. In fact people in this township were resorting to taking their children to a certain fast food chain's playground, 30 minutes away. She and her hubby placed an open letter in the town's newsletter, "GRAPEVINE". They got just 1 reply.............from a 70 something man. The three formed a committee. Given the young mum was not working and the 70 something man was semi retired, they volunteered to do the hard yards. I guess they were an odd couple but they had a dynamic dream.....and there certainly weren't too many cooks to spoil the broth!
The committee grew to 4 with the 70 something man's wife joining the throng. Under the local Progress Association's umbrella they raised money, won grants, accepted some very generous donations and door knocked and sent and collected questionnaires to all the township's residents to ascertain what people wanted, even down to the colour preference!
Eventually, over the course of 5 years they established not only this lovely playground but with wonderful community volunteers and council support they erected the seats, BBQ, and shelter. They even had a Playground Opening Day on 1st April 2001 with games, face painters, a clown (all courtesy of the council), and even a television Crew from Channel 7's BookPlace!

Silver Snitch and Puddleduck farmers didn't want a plaque, they wanted every cent to be spent on their dream. Well here it is, in a reserve that was so long ago left to the community. We hope you enjoy the playground, stop for BBQ - ITS FREE and a lovely spot for lunch. There are tennis/netball courts and an oval only metres away. There are toilets by the Institute on your way out and even a lovely little Deli where you can buy lunch or refreshments if you don't want a barbie.
WATCH OUT FOR MUGGLES !
VELCRO NO LONGER IN USE AS PEOPLE FOUND DIFFICULT. IT IS WEDGED INTO PLACE PLEASE BE CAREFUL IT IS SECURE BEFORE LEAVING.
