Located in Kittatinny Valley State Park, east of Goodale Road. There's no hunting allowed in this section of the park so it should be safe at any time of the year. If you continue down the trail about .3 mi further, you can also grab 'The Other Side' (GCJ604).
Parking and trailhead is at a small turnout on Goodale Road, with the cache only a short hike in from there. It's an easy walk, with a short bushwhack (~140'), and should be ok even for small children. There's not much climbing to do but be careful of loose rocks in the GZ area. Also, watch out for critters... please caution the kids about poking their hands into likely looking hidey-holes.
GeoTrio1 has been wanting to place a cache for a while now. The first cache we found together was a 'kids cache' so that's what we decided on doing. You're looking for a 30 cal ammo can named in honor of the youngest 33.3 of the group. Hidden in a fairly obvious spot, concealed by one rock, it shouldn't be hard to find. Please take the time to re-hide it well.
Besides a logbook, GeoCache notice and pen & pencils, the original contents include an assortment of kid-related items and 3 TB's: CRUISING THE U.S.A., ELVIZ LIVES! and Travelin' Taz. Again, please do not leave the container exposed. Most importantly... have fun!
