Welcome to
S olomon's C astle!

Well, okay, so the one man who is the artist is also the other man of the castle. Here's our story, and we're sticking to it:

Burgi Dad and I planned road trips using PQs "Along a Route" for our various installments for the North Florida Challenge Quest and South Florida Challenge Quest. As we were tracking our way through this county on Google Earth, CSI Crue (that's Cache Scene Investigator Crue to you) bubbled over with enthusiasm about this whimsical place because of a fondly remembered school field trip almost a decade ago. Since she holds the dubious dichotomy of being both our eagle-eyed spotter daughter AND our GXing parental unit for having introduced us to this hobby/obsession, we thought we'd give it a go, and we're glad we did!

Having spent a bit longer than we expected to here, we decided to dine in the on-site restaurant. They only take cash, but there's an ATM in back of the moat. Who should we see at lunch, but Solomon himself! We asked the waitress to invite him to join us, and the rest, as "they" (would) say (if they knew) is GXing history. After we (mostly Yuzawa Kat) made our pitch for GXing, including details like CITO and G.E.M.A., Solomon shared details of his own life of "Reduce-Reuse-Recycle" and the travels he has enjoyed. From a selection of recycled camouflaged containers we had, he choose a small one and gave us permission to place it along the Solomon's Castle Nature Trail, out of view from the Castle windows or the restaurant windows.

Princess Alene will be maintaining the cache in between visits from Burgi Dad and me . However, it will take a lot of pun-ny coincidences to get her to tell you where it's hidden. Come and check it out for yourself whenever the Castle grounds are open!
