Geocache Description:

New to geocaching? Been around for awhile? Come and meet other geocachers at our 3rd monthly pub night.

Meeting time is 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 27th. Space is limited so PLEASE INDICATE THE NUMBER IN YOUR PARTY on your Will Attend log so that we can keep track of how many will be attending. Family friendly, all are welcome.

The location is Philthy McNasty's at Barrie's waterfront. Most of the meal choices are under $10. There is plenty of free parking as the metered parking behind the pub is free after 5:00 pm. Road construction may make finding the parking challenging. When driving on Dunlop turn towards the bay on Mulcaster ignoring any road closed signs to park off Dunlop. Then take the stairs to the back door.

You can see Barrie's waterfront and enjoy the Magic of Winter display from Philthy McNasty 's backroom. After a day in snow country join Geocachers from around the area to swap travel bugs, geocoins and stories from some of your and our greatest Geocaching adventures. Maybe get into a deep discussion on the meaning of life, or find some help with a Geocache that has you stumped. This is a great opportunity for those who could not come to our previous pub nights due to homework.

We encourage you to check out the local websites Central Ontario Geocachers and COG forums

For those who have not geocached in this area, there are a dozen caches within a 3 km radius of the pub.

Place this event on your watchlist to be posted about any updates.

Reservation is under COG and we have the Back Room to ourselves.

Name Tags
Name tags have proven to be a big hit at COG events. Feel free to design your own “permanent” name tag. Put your geo-name on the top line and the name you like to be called on the second line. For example:
Nawty
AKA Renate
The plastic pin-on holders we use are standard business card size. If you have your own name tag, DO stop in to say hello to us so we know you have arrived. Then try to sit with someone you have not already met. You can mingle with your old buddies later. If you always sit with the same people how are you going to meet those other special geocachers in our community?
