A69 Layby Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been disabled for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.
Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."
If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,
CHEERS ALIGEES

This is a drive by cache ! This is a regular cache with the usual log and pencil and some swaps.

This cache situated in a layby on the A69 heading east into Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is in the 1st layby between the sliproad joining the A69 East bound from the B6323 and the exit slip road for the B6528 (Lemington Road Ends) east bound.

This is a drive by cache ideal for those passing and wanting to add to there caching count. This cache is placed on the embankment of the layby.

Ps! It is not hidden under the stones under foot !

WHEN RETURNING THIS CACHE TO ITS HIDING PLACE CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT IT WILL BE EASY FOR NEXT CACHER TO REMOVE IT FROM ITS HIDING PLACE! YOU WILL SEE WHY WHEN YOU FIND IT !

I was not aware of how bad the problem of litter being dumped in layby's was until i went to place this cache and found the area strewn with boxes of empty beer bottles and bags of rubbish. So if you are passing and fancy doing this cache and stop for a bite to eat or a cup of tea please remember to take your rubbish home with you.

PLEASE NOTE THE SIGN ! (PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME, OFFENDERS MAY BE PROSECTUTED)

And if your up for it you could do a bit of cache in and trash out, if every cacher looking for this cache did a bit it would be clear of rubbish in no time.
Please ensure the bag is put back how you found it Thank you
Cheers Aligees
