Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a mountain bike trail outside the southeastern corner of the Phoenix Zoo. [The cache container is a commercially available one disguised to blend it with its surroundings. NOTE THE PRESENT TEMPORARY CACHE CONTAINER DOES NOT BLEND IN; ONCE SEEN IT IS PRETTY OBVIOUS] As it is close to some buttes, any western GPS satellites will be blocked from view. If you can't get a good fix in the immediate area because of the buttes, I would approach from the east, get a compass bearing, and use a compass to walk the final few feet. The cache is small and contains a log sheet, but you need to bring a writing stick! There is parking in the general vicinity, but some walking or biking will be necessary. As with all desert caches, watch out for desert creatures. To the east, the site offers good views of Four Peaks and the Superstitions. The western buttes, as noted, are in the Phoenix Zoo and from time to time Bighorn sheep can be seen on top of them. This cache was moved from the previous location because it was disturbed during some cleaning up work done by park crews. Hopefully, this new location will remain undisturbed. The posted coordinates are the updated coordinates. Watch out for muggles on bicycles!
