A nice new parking area has been constructed at coordinates N44 53.259 W092 31.810 (along with a new brown forest sign). Please park here and not along the road - the walk is pleasant from here.
This is the the Kinnickinnic County Forest, also known as the St. Croix County Youth Forest. The pine trees were planted here by grade school children in the county from 1959-1967. There are some wonderful trails here now that are great to walk on, cross-country ski, or even ride a horse.
For the first part of this multi (at the coordinates above) you are looking for a micro (camo-covered match container) which will hold the final coordinates inside. To get to the final, keep hiking on the wide trails till your GPSr tells you to cut in (you do not need to travel a great distance off the main path). It's a camo painted lock-n-lock container stocked with glow sticks. If you can, trade something that glows or lights up.
Enjoy the area! If you listen close, perhaps you can hear whispers of the kids who planted these trees many years ago.
