Ditchling Common Pond

How many times when out walking or cacheing have we come across a pond or Dew pond that seems to be asking to become a Cache?.
So armed with pre-prepared micro, it is easy, see site, hide micro, record co-ordinates, get home and enter listing details.
This series will consist of a mixture of:-
caches in their own right
caches situated on the way to other caches
cache and dash types.
In many cases you can decide which type you want it to be, and may want to look at your maps to decide before setting off.
Cache is a 35 mm film canister containing logbook.
#3 Ditchling Common Pond.
(a) A pleasant walk on Ditchling Common, which is very popular with dog walkers
(b) there is a notice close by explaining something of the wildlife and management of the common.
(c) In the springtime the Bluebells grow on the ground to the North-West of the pond and can be spectacular as they grow in the open and not as normal under trees in woodlands.
The paths can become very muddy after rain so suitable footware is recommended.
Enjoy.
