Located just off the county maintained road, about 3 feet from the roadside. There is some traffic on this road, but not enough to be a significant hazard for this quick Park and Grab.
This is my first hide and what I hope to be the first of a series of neat things about the little town of Boyd, where I grew up.
Do be considerate of the folks who live around there with trash, noise, etc. Stage one is largely what passes for residential in the boonies.
Stage one is a small ziploc box style container with a logbook. The first page of the logbook has the coordinates to a bonus location. There's a ball, rubber rat and a couple of other small toy items.
About the Bonus: This is the story I was told back in the late 1980's when I was going to school. "History" says the bonus item was placed there by a rival school. When I told my dad, who attended Boyd High School in the late 1960's, he commented, "If we'd have known it was there when we were in school, we'd have shot it!" That makes this object between 20 and 40 years old!
Most of the locals don't still even realize it's there after all this time, hence the name of this cache. Email me what this animal is to claim the find for the bonus.
