MisterP1963: Well, jbgrug went out and looked at the old church. the outhouse is missing now and the church has fallen in. Looks like this cache is done. It had 21 finds. This is a great area of Jackson Co. to explore. Thank to all who came out to this area to look around.

You are looking for Long Hollow Church near the Mason/Jackson Co. Line. No hiking required. You can park nearby. You are looking for a medium size lock & lock cammo container. Short walk from car.
Long Hollow Church was dedicated December 1, 1889. A picture appeared in the Jackson Herald in 1914 of the church and listed 54 members attending. The first known minister was Rev. Haught. The last known service was during World War II when Rev. Fred Harmon held a revival service. On the steep hill above the church is an old cemetery. Most buried there are from the Lathey and Woodall families.
