This cache is placed in the scenic Black Hill Reserve. Major Mitchell was probably the first European to sight Black Hill during his 1836 explorations of this area. Koalas were relocated here in 1944 and as a child my grandfather brought me here to see them feeding in the manna gums. A few still remain today as well as a variety of other wildlife. We saw an echidna when placing the cache.
The cache is located around 750m from the carpark and can be accessed along well formed tracks. It is recommended that cachers complete the ridgeline walk to fully appreciate the views.
The cache is a 750ml ex fruit container hidden amongst tall granite monoliths.
