A nice wee cache along the Southern shore of the River Clyde. Parking is available at the Old Erskine ferry slipway (N55 55.029 W004 27.724)
The route to the cache follows the path along the shore, under the Erskine Bridge and through the grounds of the Erskine Hospital. There are nice views across the river to the Kilpatrick Hills and Westwards towards the Dumbarton Rock.
At low tide many species of wading bird can be seen feeding on the mudflats.
The route is along a well made cinder path with only the last few hundred feet off the track.The walk involves a round trip of approx 2.5 miles.Please note this is a small cache and is only suitable for small trades.
