Geocache Description:

A quick little nano...

Back in the day when this area of the valley was an agricultural oasis, a mighty river flowed along what is now De La Cruz Blvd.

A little ship made the long journey from the bay, in search of Adventure! The name of this ship was the "Temporary Insanity". A spirited crew piloted this vessel, but alas, they ran aground. Try as the might, they could not free the little ship from clutches of the shore. So, the crew did the next best thing, they set up camp. A thriving area of commerce sprang up around the little ship, as the waters of the De La Cruz receded.

Eventually, the De La Cruz ran dry and was replaced by a river of asphalt, but the little ship remains today.

6/14/07: It seems that during our last big rain storm, that the mighty De La Cruz rose up to flow again!! This allowed the little ship to free itself and sail away on new Adventures!! Our little cache will remain as a reminder of the noble little ship that rested near this point.
