capdude: Not worth checking it anymore. Every time there is a string of newbies not finding this cache I have to check on it and it's there.

Geocache Description:

Its black, but should be brown (hint)

The French Quarter is also known as the Vieux Carré, which is French for "Old Square." The area it occupies is the same 6x13 block area laid out in 1722 as the original City of New Orleans and is one of the oldest residential communities in the USA. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1966. The French Quarter is the only intact French Colonial and Spanish settlement remaining in the United States.

You don't have to go to New Orleans to see the flare of the French Quarter because its right here in the San Fernando Valley (sort of). Well at least this spot is a nice place to visit.

Parking during the weekdays may be a problem. You may have to park elsewhere and walk a bit to get to the cache. If you have time there's some good resturants nearby. BYOP
