This cache was hidden on Christmas Eve and thus is Christmas
themed. We decided on a location where there is snow almost every
Christmas, even when the whole state might be warm and green.
The hide is very simple,
with the emphasis being placed on the locale rather than the
hide itself. Where would you expect to find a surprise on
Christmas morning anyway?
The contents of the cache should be red, green or silver, to
celebrate the holiday. You don't need to leave Christmas items
though it started out with some.
The cache can be a quick park and grab, but the last few feet
are not handicap accessible. It will require some minimal
scrambling. You should also be wary of nearby muggles coming and
going. In winters of heavy snow, I expect the cache to remain dry,
though you may have to dig for it.
The cache is a standard ammo box, wrapped on camo tape. The box
should remain upright and should not be over-stuffed. Let's just
say....you'll see why.
So, Happy Holidays from the Peapod Hobbits, to all our
geocaching companions whatever time of year it is. We hope you
enjoy this cache as much as we've enjoyed making it.
Congratulations to Red Otter for FTF!
