Geocache Description:

The long awaited Bison Jump mystery cache is out! Please note, the cache is not located here. Solving the mystery will require getting the (6) different letters from the (6) bison capsules in the Buffalo Series; which include, Buffalo Bill # 1, Buffalo Betty # 2, Buffalo Barney # 3, Buffalo Jane # 4, Buffalo Joe # 5 and lastly Buffalo Annie # 6. You will need to translate letters to numbers from a large sign with four words on it. The actual cache, an ammo can is located elsewhere.

WARNING: CAUTION ADVISEMENT, RATTLESNAKES have been observed in this area. Look down and scan the area you are about to walk into. Be careful where you stick your hands and probe the area with a long sick before reaching for any potential cache locations. Solving the mystery: Located at the co-ordinates above you will see a large sign with four (4) words on it. You need to substitute the letters from these 4 words (see the 10 statements below)and apply the letter that equals the number below. 1) The second letter of the first word = 0 (zero) 2) The first letter of the first word = 1 3) The first letter of the third word = 2 4) The eigth letter of the third word = 3 5) The seventh letter of the fourth word = 4 6) The fourth letter of the third word = 5 7) The last letter of the fourth word = 6 8) The ninth letter of the third word = 7 9) The last letter of the third word = 8 10)The third letter of the fourth word = 9 Solving: N 45-GS. + last 3 digets = (Buffalo # 1, #2, #3) W 108-UY. + last 3 digets = (Buffalo # 4, #5, #6) Note: Not all letters/numbers are required to solve this Mystery. Good luck This will be a difficult cache to access so plan an hour to hunt. This is rather extreme terrain so be careful if wet or snowy and know your own limitations. There are cliffs nearby so night caching/hunting is not recommended. Note, there is some "GPS bounce" from the cliffs. The cache has some good stuff, including the following: (5) Arrow heads (please take only 1 arrow head), 2 post card pictures of Buffalo Bill Cody, 2 post cards of Yellowstone National Park Bison, 4 post cards of Montana Bison, Buffalo Chip soap, a stamp block picture of John Wayne, one Green Indian Chief figure. Coins: A 2005 Kansas Buffalo quarter, a 2006 North Dakota Buffalo quarter, a 1936 Buffalo Head nickel, a 2005 Buffalo nickel, a 2000 Sacagawea ~ Buck. Please try and leave period items old west items or buffalo to maintain the theme. Lastly and MOST IMPORTANT, since the Buffalo Series has shown so much interest, there will be (3) prizes; a FTF, STF and TTF. So the first 3 to find will be rewarded. Have fun and be careful. Arliecon ~ Ron
