Geocache Description:

Located on Eglin AFB reservation near Timber Lake. Permit required.

Located on Eglin AFB reservation, this two stage cache consists of a micro containing the final coordinates. A permit granting you legal access to the Eglin AFB reservation is REQUIRED. For $7 you get a map and a year-long Recreational Permit. The first stage of this multi will require you to locate the coordinates that are hidden in a micro. From there it's just a short walk to the final stage where you should be able to locate the cache--a small ammo can. While you're there enjoy the lake and the surrounding trails. There are picnic tables and even a couple of grills. The road leading into the Timber Lake area is dirt and can sometimes be soft enough to cause problems if you don't have a 4WD. Alternatively you can park at the trailhead (N 30 28.508, W 086 35.993) and hike about 2 miles in along the Stinky Creek trail. That will give you an opportunity to hit another cache along the way (see: GCBACD). This could be a great hiking/picnicing opportunity.
