This cache began in an interesting way. My son came home for the weekend from UVic for my birthday late that Spring. He hiked up Maple Mountain with my GPSr and hid my present, later telling me of a brand new cache we should check out. At this point caching fever hits and away we go, only realizing later the roose I'd fallen for. What makes this even cooler is that 3/4 of the original cache is from the "gift", including the cache container itself!
The cache is off the Pink Trail on the east side of the mountain. At about N48 50.275 W123 35.891 on the Pink Trail is a path heading east onto a rock bluff. Please be gentle to Nature out here and keep our impact as minimal as possible.
