This is a very strenuous hike/climb, but the views from the top are
breathtaking! Best to do when it is not 107 degrees outside.
This cache is located about 20 miles from the Seven Springs area. It can be approached from the south or the north, I came from the south and turned west on 602, just beyond CP Butte. A 4 wheel drive, high clearance vehicle will be required for this 3 mile section on 602. The parking coordinates I used are N. 34.06.253 W. 111.52.794. Elevation gain from this point is 1,050 feet and the route I took was a total of 2 miles. The cache is at an elevation of 5,231 feet. The container is a heavy duty latching plastic container and holds a log book, pen and several small
items. The challenge is finding your way up the final ascent. I found a draw and scrambled up through it. This cache is not for the faint of heart; it is a tough climb, but the views are spectacular!
If you are into Terra Caching, I also hid a Terra Cache on top, not too far from this geocache.
