Geocache Description:

Hunt for this cache along the William B. Cummings Birding and Wildlife Trail at The Nature Conservancy's Brownsville Preserve. Please stay on the trail. This cache is placed with permission of the landowner.

Cache is a short distance from the trailhead parking area along a narrow, sometimes slippery and bouncy boardwalk. During recent nor'easters and hurricanes the tide has come all the way up into even the drier portions of this forest, bringing with it Drifters such as the occasional log or used oil can. A trail map with interperetive information may be available at the trailhead, and is also available online by clicking HERE. If you wish to continue along the trail, the entire walk is a total of about three miles out and back.

Please observe all of The Nature Conservancy's guidelines. Pets are not allowed, and during deer season (typically October through early January) trail hours are restricted to 9 am to 3 pm on Monday through Saturday. Because hunting is not allowed on Sundays, this cache is available on Sundays year-round.

Mosquitoes and ticks can be intense during the warmer months, so be prepared!
