King Horton at Kings Norton
This is a multi-cache in a medium sized plastic container. The cache will mainly take you across the river Rea trail and close to some Birmingham history.
Make your way to the above coordinates here you’ll need to find the following information. If you have time you may wish to explore the canal system if you cross the bridge and head for Stratford there is a unique Drawbridge lock nearby.
The number of miles to Droitwich junction
The Toll cost of Fullers Earth
The date of the Toll leviable
The number of the nearby bridge
To get your next co-ordinates take the first number from the bridge (A), your next figure you will need to subtract the cost of the earth from the first figure in the date which will give you (B) and using the date again take the second digit to get (C) which will give you N 52 24 ABC and for the second last three figures place a zero (as I have) between the number of miles to Droitwich to give you W 001 56 ?0?
Look for the red number and times it by three add it to the top number to get the following figure, (E) and taking the red number again to give you (F) and the top number to give you (G)
N 52 24 4EE W 001 GG 7F6 find the name Luke Bolstridge to get you final figures using the dates on the plaque. There is some wonderful history here and you may again wish to have a look around as close-by is the Old Grammar School which dates back to the mid 1400’s and the Saracen’s Head which was built in 1492.
From the earliest of the two dates add the last two figures to give you (X) and from the most recent date take the last digit to give you (Y)

There are two ideal parking spots, N 52 24 642 W 001 56 000 or N 52 24 630 W 001 55 706, both are free and usually there are spaces.
