There used to be one of those green painted hand pumps here. And I remember that it did work. Water was always so clear and cold. The old metal clip board cover that held the visitor sign-in sheet is still there-but no sign-in sheet any more. I used to love reading though the names of who had been there. (shades of the future, sorta like reading a cache log book)
When I was a kid this was a good stopping point, if on the way to LeSourdsville Lake, Fantasy Farm, or a Reds game... coming down from Greenville on 127. Old 127 is on the street on the other side of the rest stop
