CITO - WOODLANDS CHURCH - 11:00 UNTIL 12:00; FOLLOWED BY A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION EVENT UNTIL 14:00. THERE WILL BE REFRESHMENTS AFTERWARDS IN THE HALL.
Parking is very limited outside the church. If you're able to car-share then that would be a good idea.Please try parking down the hill and also in the road opposite the new houses (where the golf club was). YOU CAN PARK HERE BUT PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE TO RESIDENTS!
As with any Church Micro cache or event, attending this CITO (and the Post-CITO event) will count towards your CM finds total.
The Church has once again asked for our help in clearing the churchyard of debris and fallen leaves which present a huge problem every Autumn/Winter. Ruth Chatwin from the Church has just given me a list of things she would like us to attempt to do.
The jobs which I have been asked if we can do are below and the tools needed (if you have them) are in blue. Please bear in mind they must be non-electric tools!
- Lots of leaves to collect and put on the compost heap - Sturdy gloves, footwear, leaf grabbers, leaf blowers, wheelbarrow, builders' sacks or trugs/containers to carry garden rubbish in
- Cutting back - Secateurs and robust loppers
- Windowsills need painting with a woodworm treatment (provided) - paintbrushes provided
- Gutters once again. An Annual task - You might wish to bring own ladder if you prefer
- Cobwebs up high in both church and church hall - there are ladders at the church
- Jeyes fluid (in a watering can) to put on the paths - provided
- Windows to be cleaned - cloths etc. provided
- Shed always needs plants pruning back (in and around) and rubbish cleared away - Secateurs, loppers, good gloves and any containers you might have to put the rubbish in while working
It's best if you mark and label your tools in case they get left behind!!! Thanks.

The photos below are from this year and show everyone having a good time. We achieved an immense amount of work in that very time. Under two hours this year because of the 2-hour CCE afterwards.
