Beautiful lagoon surrounded by monkey trees (araucarias) and other virgin Chilean forest. Located in the ninth region of Chile, near the international pass Mamuil Malal between Chile and Argentina, at the bottom of the Lanin volcano.
The geocaché contains the Lucky Canuck Bear, travel bug we bring from Punta de Cana (TBGGPX), the log book, two pencils, two small shackle, a wood egg and a surprise gift.
Take the route from Pucón to Argentina (international road), pass through Curarrehue town where the pavel road ends. 22 kms later you will enter the Villarrica National Park. Follow to road up to the the Tinquilco lake. After it, at S39°34.491’ W71°29.708’ take the small road at the right indicated also by a sign “Laguna Huinfiuca”. At S39°34.928’ W71°30.221’ take the road to the right. If you are traveling in 4x4 you can still drive up to S39°34.928’ W71°31.738’. From this point you must walk following the trail. Once you arrive the lagoon, just follow the GPS.
