Pocket Park Traditional Cache

Burbank’s first micro-cache is located at an unusual 5 way intersection in the foothills above Burbank.

The layout of this intersection has created a roughly triangular piece of land along the median of the three streets. The City of Burbank maintains this property as a landscaped “mini-park” with grass, shrubs and trees, but it’s too small and inconveniently located to actually be used as a park.

There is a small underground utility vault on this property operated by Burbank Water and Power – this is a small clue to help you find the cache.

A few helpful suggestions and requests:

• You can park within ten feet of the cache
• The cache can be accessed without trampling the landscape. So, please don’t walk through shrubs and bushes
• Do not attempt this cache if Burbank Water and Power is working in the underground vault (the vault cover will be open) or watering the landscaping. This doesn’t happen too often, but if the city workers see what you’re doing, the cache will probably be removed
• As with most urban micro-caches, be discreet when you’re hunting, finding, logging and replacing the cache container. This is a highly visible area, as you’ll see
• The cache container is a magnetic cammo altoids tin. Only very small trinkets, a log and a pencil in this one. Please trade small items only or just TNLNSL. Please put log back in plastic bag, make sure it’s closed tightly and replace exactly where you found it
