At the end of the 19th century the village of Timberland had three places of worship - the Anglican Parish Church of St. Andrew's and two Methodist Chapels.
The Primitive Methodist Chapel which can be found down Chruch Lane is now a private dwelling whilst this Chapel at the published coordinates is the former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, as can be seen from the plaque on the wall, and the current Methodist Chapel since the joining together of the Wesleyan Methodists, the Primitive Methodists, and the United Methodists in 1932.
