When I was young my dad was Bandmaster of the Weymouth Salvation Army Band. Every summer Sunday after the evening service, he would march with his Band to have a time of hymn singing on the Beach. Left, Left, Left Right Left, he would repeat until he raised his baton and the Band would strike up a march to keep everyone in step.
Us kids could go and paddle or collect shells, listening to the band in the background, until ‘The Day Thou Gavest Lord Is Ended’ was sung and we knew it was time to go home.
From the Parking Place - at the above coords - you can see the beach as long as you have serious strength binoculars! The cache is full of shells and is a short walk away at:-
