Geocache Description:

Welcome to Nassau County Historical Series #3 Baldwin! This cache is a micro located near the sites of three places that were owned by the man the town was named after, Thomas Baldwin. Enjoy the wonderful Lofts Pond Park.

Thomas Baldwin was a very important merchant in the town of Milburn, earlier called Hicks Neck. Now it is named Baldwin after this man. He owned a general store and a hotel which was located down the block at the northwest corner of Grand Ave and Merrick Road. He also owned a sawmill near Silver Lake Park which was located southeast of the hotel.

The higher difficulty rating is due to the fact that it is a high mugggle area especially during day. Extreme stealth is required.
