A series of caches set ready to download for A DAY OUT ON DUNKELD
ESTATE (GC31DWZ) EVENT. Please be fair to others and do not search
for until Sunday 25th September. Dogs welcome in the grounds, but
due to the large amount of Deer on the estate, please keep dogs on
a lead.
Originally built by the 7th Duke of Atholl as a summer house for
his wife, Dunkeld House lies on a private estate of 280
acres.
To the NE of the estate on Gallows Hill was a walled garden, Gazebo
and fountain, now sadly left to the elements. The fountain was in
direct site south of the Gazebo, and it is possible some of it is
still there in the undergrowth.
Long trousers would be advisable.
