The name “Doorntj Korlinny” (or Dorntj Koorliny as it is sometimes written) was suggested and given to the wider community by the Noongar People of Northam, to use as a name for a 20km walking track that goes around the Avon River. The construction of this track was a joint enterprise between the Northam Noongar Community and the Avon Valley Environmental Society inc. The upstream trail head of this track is Burlong Park - a registered Aboriginal Heritage Site where the adjoining deep pool is believed to be the summer resting site of the Wagyl - a 'Dreamtime' serpent involved in the creation of the landscape.
The cache contains a log book only so bring your quill along.
Happy hunting or should I say happy caching and the best of luck.
