Geocache Description:

Quick park and grab with a piece of the '64 World's Fair nearby.

World's Fair Arch

The photo below is a picture of an Arch that was erected for the 1964-65 NY Worlds Fair in Flushing.

The arch was one of eleven scattered about the grounds of the Worlds Fair and served as an advertisement as well as an information kiosk and rendezvous destination for fair goers. After the fair the arches were sold off and/or scrapped but Worlds Fair enthusiasts were able to track down five of them that still exist in various parts of the country.  One of the arches ended up at the entrance to the Cherry Valley Center.

The cache is nearby, but you will have a great view of the arch.  The cache is not on the arch itself.
