Park 2 of 3 in a small series in Queen's Park.
Queen's Park in Moonee Ponds is a mix of exotic and native plants and trees around a natural small lake. The lake was used as a watering point by people for millenia, including Burke and Wills as they headed out of Melbourne. This cache is pretty close to the bowls club, the smaller of two playgrounds, and the toilets.
To get here, take the 59 tram from the city and hop off at the Queen's Park stop, just after Moonee Ponds Junction. The Craigieburn train will also take you to Moonee Ponds, though it's a short walk across the shopping district to the park. For cars, there may be parking on the street or in parking lots along Mount Alexander Rd. There is a cafe in the park on this side of the lake.
The cache is in a clear plastic pre-form tube, complete with a pencil. It is the easiest find in this series, but please make sure there is sufficient debris cover when you put it back to keep it safe from muggles. The tube is okay for small swaps, travel bugs, or geocoins. Stealth is a must, as the hide is just off the sidewalk and in direct view of the road.
