Geocache Description:

Bitterne railway station is on the main Southampton to Portsmouth coastal line. It was opened in the 1860s as Bitterne Road railway station. The station itself is located a mile west of Bitterne village, but the original plan for the railway line would have taken the railway right through the centre of the Bitterne.

I've tried to make this one wheelchair friendly (please email if it isn't), though there are few small brambles close by.

Road side restriction free parking next to the GZ.

Please take care to place it back where it was found.
