Geocache Description:

St Leonard's Church

St. Leonard's has a Perp west tower with a 19th century open balustraded parapet with pinnacles.
Apart from the 14th century arcade of five bays, the church was largely rebuilt in 1872 by R.H. Carpenter & W. Slater, with Perp windows.
The font is Norman, an octagonal bowl with incurved cones growing out of a cylindrical base.
This font has a 17th C cover.
There is stained glass in the church by Clayton & Bell 1886, and by Powell 1872 and 1895.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
