At the age of 19, Army Pfc. Bradley G. Kritzer died in Bahdad, Iraq, when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device on May 5, 2004. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Calvary, Fort Hood, Texas.  He is the only solider from Clearfield County to die in Iraq.  Beside the memorial where the cache is hid, the state has named a local bridge in his memory.

The memorial was built by Bradley's father.  The piece of farm field that the memorial is located is across the road from Bradley's childhood home and was donated to the family by a life long neighbor, farmer and Clearfield school teacher. Bradley's father is very honored that this memorial was chosen to be a part of the geotrail. .

Please note that a farm lane gives you access to within 20 feet of the memorial and cache.  Please be careful when pulling back onto the highway and be respectful of the property owners.
