This one of the oldest Historical Lighthouses in continous
operation in the USA, Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre de Grace
MD.
Here is one the oldest historical Lighthouses in operation in the
USA, Concord Point Light. It was built in 1827 of solid granite
mined nearby in Port Deposit MD. At a height of 36 feet, and over 3
feet thick, it has needed very little maintenance. Originally lit
by whale oil lamps, it was upgraded thru the years with lamps of
more modern variety. Keeping a watch over the Top of the bay, This
Lighthouse has seen lots of history flow by it. Your goal is to
find other Lighthouses of HISTORICAL significance. Please log the
LAT/LON and some of the history behind the lighthouse.
TAKE A PICTURE OF THE LIGHT WITH YOUR GPS IN THE SHOT OR YOUR
LOG WILL BE DELETED. Only one log per cacher, one log per light.
