Geocache Description:

Dear Santa, I can explain...

Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to come along to our Christmas 2018 Event. Come and join us at Fagan Park, Galston for some Geocaching fun!

Details at a Glance:

Location:  Fagan Park, Galston

Date:  Sunday, 2nd December, 2018

Times:  11am - 2pm

Group Photo:  12:00pm (Followed by BBQ)

Best Access:  Carrs Rd Entrance

The event will be an informal meet and greet. A BBQ lunch will be provided during the event. Lunch is at no cost to members. A gold coin donation is required for non members which will be given to a local charity.“BYO everything else” picnic blankets, chairs, and don't forget your hat and sunscreen. BYO any special food requirements and beverages. Please post the number of people that will be attending under your Geocaching account for catering purposes.

Entry for people is free however there is a $5 per car parking fee (collect your parking ticket from the ticket machine) and there is plenty of parking once inside. The money raised helps with the maintenance of the park. Free Parking is available, there is limited parking outside and you can simply walk in. We should be set up somewhere close to the published co-ordinates. Just look for a portable gazebo and the GCNSW banner. Hopefully, we can secure one of the picnic shelters, (if we get there early enough and they are not booked for a function.) There are toilet facilities nearby. Kids, of all ages, can bring along their cricket sets, frisbees, bikes, footballs, etc, as there is lots of room. There is also some play equipment for the little ones to enjoy.

Fagan Park also has the following rules:

* Alcohol must not be taken into the park.

* Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash and stay at least 10m from BBQs, picnic tables and the play equipment.

A member of the committee will be arriving early to hopefully secure a spot but please bring picnic blankets, chairs, and don't forget your hat and sunscreen. BYO any special food requirements and beverages. Please post the number of people that will be attending under your Geocaching account for catering purposes.

Events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software and share stories about the latest caching adventure. You may even pick up a hint or two on those annoying DNFs.

Please post a “Will Attend” log and add this event to your watchlist so that you will receive any announcements that are made. If you have any questions, please contact us at contact@geocachingnsw.asn.au

We look forward to seeing you there,

Cheers,

Geocaching NSW Committee
