Exhibitionist Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

maccamob: We came past last night to see what has been happening at the cache site. As garnercx observed, the wall and garden, which was where the cache was hidden, has been completely demolished, and not a trace remains. We had no warning that the area was to be redeveloped, or missed anything that might have been in the papers at the time, so did not retrieve the cache ourselves. We can only conclude that it has gone for good, and so reluclantly archive it now. We'll see what can be done by way of replacement nearby once the work has finished, but if other cachers want to try their hand in the area we'll be happy to line up with other finders.

Geocache Description:

This area displays both a World Heritage nominated 19th century building and ultra modern architecture, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and is the home of maccamob’s sixty-third cache.

Enjoy this site, which has much to offer for family members of every age. Depending on whether there are any major activities occurring nearby, the area can be very busy, so retrieving and replacing the cache undetected may not always be easy. If in doubt about being observed, please wait so that the cache location isn't compromised. Also, please do not leave any food items in the cache, as the first two containers fell victim to gnawing wildlife. Hopefully, container Mk III will keep them at bay. It is a 1-litre cylinder, so will only hold small swaps. As usual, please ensure the cache is well hidden again before you leave.
