It had been reported that Two ships had ran aground at this location. A Coast Guard Bouy Tender departed the base to inspect and service bouy 14, which marks the sandbar at the above location. Upon arriving at the bouy station, the Tender found the marker partly submerged and dragged off station 1.39NM and in a direction of 078.9, assist in locating this off station bouy, that may have been the cause of those groungings, where it can be repaired and put back on station and made to be watching proper.
