Geocache Description:

The cache can be found at the roots of a tree. Its size: 10x15x7 cm. Please watch out carefully! Both the cache and the lookout point are on the top of a 30 meter high loess wall. Visiting it with a child, hold his hand tight.

History:
In this area there were always a lot of wars in the beginning of the 18th century because of the possesion of the crossing place on the river Danube. During these wars five new fortifications and ramparts were built from which this one is the only remainder.
It is located on the right side of the river Danube almost well-conditioned, covered with bushes and trees. It might have been built by a French engineer in 1704.

Approach:
From Road no. 6, there is a non-stop inn by the road, you can park here: lat="N 46° 50,995'" lon="E 18° 54,668'". Go to East on foot, passing the fence on the right. Go along the trekking path to the Danube. Here: lat="N 46° 50,877'" lon="E 18° 55,234'" you can find a path which go up to the top of the wall. But the path is in very bad condition.
