Geocache Description:

its about time we had a "planet of the apes" cache here in marin county.

This cache is NOT a Project APE cache, it isn't a cache hidden with permission for the Planet of the Apes Promotion in 2001. Moun10Bike and Jeremy had nothing to do with placing the cache, but Moun10Bike seems like a nice guy and was stoked when I used the "repack" fireroad in marin as the birthplace of mtn biking for "it all started here....." his locationless cache GCD3C7.

When the cache was placed, the container had something to do with my favorite scene from the first movie.

I parked at bootjack when I made the hide and followed the fireroad up toward the west point inn. I marched around wearing my baby in the backpack looking for a good hiding spot, but "crimestopper" is right, good shoes/boots are a must, and young kids should stay on the road and not try tp climb up to it. You may want to follow the tree line once you leave the fire road and stay on the left side of the vein till you get within about 50 feet, then just get to zero.
