[もののけ姫 / Princess Mononoke] is an animated movie which is directed by 宮崎駿 in 1997 summer.

It is hard to define kindness and evil on each character or wild animal in this movie. エボシ御前(Lady Eboshi) helped residents to create their country, but she destroy the forest and killed animals for the development. Even though those animals’ habitats were damaged, they still shirked responsibility and played the blame game. You can find conflicts everywhere in the movie, which is similar to the complex real world.

The main idea of this movie isn’t “forgive each other, let go of hatred”. Also, it doesn’t emphasize “human beings are evil, mother nature is harmonious and respectable”. In fact, the story tells “How to coexist between contradiction and opposition.”
