In 1859, when the Grand Trunk Railway established a stop here to
take on water and wood, the railway men called it Forest on account
of the surrounding dense bush. The railway is no more and little of
the dense bush remains but I did find a small patch to put a cache
in.
Forest is also home to a natural ampitheatre where an annual
performance by the local community theatre is held. The cache is
close enough that you could take in the show and hunt for the cache
during intermission.
The bush is dense but there is a way in. Don't expect your GPSr
to work too well in summer. I had to do a lot of averaging to come
up with the coordinates and have upped the difficulty
accordingly.
